I heard somewhere that Santa Claus as we know him was invented by Coca-cola.
It was a trade mark for business. All Red and chumpy with all the white beard and the red coat. He used to be green I think and he came from the North Pole.

my mother always told me that Santa was invented by Coca Cola. She says that when she was a kid, "Baby Jesus" was the one responsible for giving the presents. And then Coca Cola came up with this red grandpa with a huge tummy...
Actually, Santa came from Leponia, I believe, and was blue. Coca Cola then turned him red, as a publicy campaign. But never knew the actual story, as wich the current state of info, there are too many versions. It's the trouble of the so called globalization, courtesy of the internet... =P
